The BEST Graduation present in 2011

Did you know that more and more Graduates who come out from college prefer to receive cash gifts to the more traditional presents such as cameras, engraved pen sets and luggage? In days gone by, no one would have dreamed of giving cash gifts to a graduate which would be considered ‘not done”. But times are different and everyone is strapped for cash theses days. This can be more so in the case of a graduate who has just passed High School or College, yet not found a job. Just imagine the number of things he or she can do if everyone gave them cash?

Considered a shift from tradition, but very timely, a cash gift can help the son, daughter, nephew, niece or friend to buy so many items that are needed very much, for which the only thing lacking is cash.  Furthermore, no matter how thoughtful a gift is, you can never be sure that it is exactly what the recipient wants. Today’s young seem to have all the latest technical gadgets that have been invented and the only thing they seem to never have enough is money.

When you think about it, a cash gift is exactly what you should give a Graduate and this is why there’s a new trend at present by graduates to open up a Gift Registry. The idea itself is not something new; We see it all the time where couples to be married open a gift registry at a well-known store listing what they want  to start their new life. The only difference is a cash gift registry is that everyone who is close to the graduate can deposit a cash gift in his name so that there’ll be enough and more money for him to start his new life.

If you look at it from the giver’s point too, it’s so much easier and safer to give a cash gift rather than some item which the recipient might not have any use for. Furthermore, cash unlike traditional gifts don’t get broken, or have to be exchanged but will be very much appreciated by whoever receives it.
